CRTV is becoming a centre of discontent for some of its workers who think Charles Ndongo might have been a good journalist but a mess when it came to managing people.
This disgruntlement got out of hand when the Director General of the CRTV signed a document on 26 July 2017, slashing down the salaries of its personnel for no good reason.
Before this reduction in pay package, he had employed more workers than expected. People whose incompetency could do nothing but call for a salary reduction, due to the increased number of employees.
Just like Paul Biya, he extended the retirement age of some of his workers, so that they could work and die in service.

Some furious teachers from the Bakassi Peninsular on Wednesday, July 26, took the Southwest Regional Delegation of Secondary Education by storm and took the Delegate, Johnson Apah Itor, hostage over unpaid salaries.
According to the teachers, the Government through the Regional Delegate has been making fake promises to pay the money, but has never honoured any of its promises.
When the teachers stormed the South West Regional Delegation of Secondary Education, the two police officers who have been guarding the Delegations following the degeneration of the Anglophone Crisis were helpless.
The Delegate quickly called in re-enforcement from the police to arrest the situation.
According to some of the teachers, they have been working under very difficult conditions in the Peninsular, which is characterised by the scarcity of basic commodities and also threatened by pirates.
“We are surprised that after the so much noise Government made to the international community, that there were special incentives for teachers in Bakassi.
“We have been working for the past 11 months under perilous conditions, moulding young Cameroonians, yet we have not received even a dime from the over FCFA 80 million arrears that we are being owed by the Government. All we get is fruitless promises,” one of the teachers fumed.
They blamed the Regional Delegate for not being proactive.
“The Delegate doesn’t care much about our plight because he is sitting in an air-conditioned office, he lives in a Government house and has service car with all sorts of allowances to make life very comfortable for him and his family, while many of us are dying every day in the high seas all in the name of serving our nation”, he said.
The teachers swore that they were going to pitch their tents at the Delegation until their money is paid.

Since a military vessel capsized over a week ago, no official declaration has been made concerning the whereabouts of the the 34 members of the team who went missing as a result.
Instead, media reports suggest the minister of defence will preside over a ceremony on Friday in Douala to pay homage to the 'fallen' guys.
The corpses will also be retrieved and handed to the various families concerned.
The event is expected to take place at the airbase in Douala.
The vessel of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, dubbed Mundemba, reportedly disappeared on a supply mission to Bakasi earlier this month.
Three of the 37 people on board survived.
Search teams were dispatched to fish out the rest of the team.
Since then no official information has been given about the whereabouts of the missing guys.
However, media reports suggest two corpses were retrieved a couple of days back.
It's not yet clear what might have caused the tragedy.
Investigations are underway.

According to other media outlets which are found in the locality where Vision 4 has its building, this move by the president indirectly means that, the communication sector in the Central African Republic is on a low compared to other countries.
The decision to open a branch of Vision 4 in Touadera’s country was taken in March 2017, during a meeting between its Director General Amougou Belinga and the Central African President on his first anniversary celebration as president of the Central African Republic on the 30 of March.

The Cameroonian star is set to lock horns with Paul Biya in a case which comes as a result of an incident which occurred a few weeks ago. Bona could not attend his late mother’s burial due to the fact that he was declared persona non grata in Cameroon.
In that situation, he learned about a video that was circulating on social networks which displayed the cultural diversity of Cameroon. He equally noticed that he featured in the video initially posted on the Head of State’s account on 11 July 2017.
Not being happy seeing himself in that video, he immediately asked the Cameroonian authorities to withdraw his image from that video.

Police Inspector, Rudolf Ngute Nkwencha, is presently sweating in police custody after leading a robbery attack on the Lobe Cooperative Credit Union in Ekondo Titi in Meme Division of the South West Region.
Inspector Ngute provided police uniforms and guns to the hoodlums, who stormed the financial institution in the depth of the night of July 8, 2017, as police on patrol and carted away FCFA 36.4 million.
After the July 8 robbery attack, security and administrative officers in Ekondo Titi, opened investigation into the matter to unmasked those behind the burglary.
Meanwhile, after weeks of serious investigation, the security operatives finally apprehended those behind the robbery incident with Police Inspector, Rudolf Ngute Nkwencha and the Credit Union Accountant, Sarah among the hoodlums.
The Accountant allegedly organised the operation with her boy friend, Gideon Tegha and contacted the Police Inspector who provided them with police uniforms and other security gadgets.
They then conscripted a driver, Simon Kenda Eyong, who ferried the gang to the Credit Union for the operation.
Eyong was caught with FCFA 2.8 million in his home by the police before confessing and naming the ring leaders of the theft.
In his confession, Eyong told the police that the Accountant and the night watch man were all part of the arrangement.
“We first pretended to attack the house of the Accountant to confuse the population from suspecting her. After that we went and collected the money in the Credit Union office because the Accountant deliberately left the save open for us,” Eyong said.
Meanwhile, three other members of the gang, Tegha, Enoh and Danis are still at large, while the police have opened further investigation to track them down.

The date for the distribution of Biya’s gift has been shifted to December after students have spent their whole school year saturating space in their brains needlessly with thoughts about some bait machines.
If the computers are really coming, then the regime surely tactically wants to give them out at a time not too distanced from elections. So that at that time, the gifts should still be fresh in the minds of students, some of whom will vote for the CPDM as a result of the laptops they have received.
Tongues are restless as many are wondering what could possibly be the reason for this delay. An excuse cannot be given related to insufficiency of money because the government had signed a deal with the Chinese Exim bank, which loaned them 75 billion FCFA. Equally, they saw the company Sichuan telecom, which had to manufacture the laptops and claimed the cost per machine was fixed at 150, 000 FCFA.
This delay means there is something behind which is not clear and the authorities involved do not want to let the public know.
On the eve of the National youth day (11 February 2017), during a TV program organised by the CRTV which took place in the Amphi-700 of the Ngoa Ekele university campus in Yaounde, students were given the opportunity to ask Ministers who were there present, questions. One of them asked about the laptops, willing to know when they shall be available. The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma who never lacks what to say, responded unconvincingly and defending his Head of State as usual. He said the students should not be afraid, that the President had promised them and will definitely keep to his words. Everybody whether they liked it or not, had to take it that way, even though it was not straight to the point
